Course description
This is an introduction to drug and alcohol awareness including the context in which drugs may be offered to young people and the trends which may affect their use and the impacts of the drugs and alcohol.
Training objectives
Learning outcomes
By the end of the training the delegates will have had the opportunity to:

• Gain an understanding of the use of drugs
• Gain a broad understanding of the social context of alcohol
• Be able to calculate the units and advise of safe limits
• Understand the difference between stimulants, depressants and hallucinogenic
• Understand the context in which both young people and adults use drugs
• Gain awareness of the physical and emotional impacts of misuse
