This meeting is for all teachers in reception including NQTs and teachers new to EYFS.
NQTs & new to reception teachers to arrive at 13:30.
Other reception teachers to arrive at 15:45 - 17:30.
The focus of these termly meetings is to share good early years practice and provide updates on new initiatives. These meetings will provide opportunities to visit schools across the city and to see examples of good provision.
NQTs and New to Reception teachers are invited to attend from 13:30 to provide additional support and training on topics such as outdoor learning, schemes, engaging boys. The focus of these sessions will be developed in partnership with delegates who book on.
The agenda for the meetings will be shaped and agreed in consultation with practitioners.
The venue and agenda for each meeting will be confirmed via email.

Each event featurs updates and contributions from a range of stakeholders in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Peterborough including the SENCO Network Steering Group, SEN and Inclusion Services in the local authority and many more.

This course will provide an introduction to sexualised behaviour in children and adolescents. It aims to develop confidence and knowledge for practitioners in identifying and managing problematic behaviour. In addition, it provides tools and interventions for practitioners to use in school.
The course is designed and delivered by the Educational Psychology Service using evidence based approaches.
How can this course help?
Sexualised behaviour in children can often be both difficult to discuss and manage. Understanding children’s sexual development and research regarding sexualised behaviour enables practitioners to increase their confidence in supporting children and adolescents in this area. This training aims to develop awareness of sexualised behaviour in children and adolescents and identifies approaches, strategies and tools to aid assessment and intervention for practitioners in school.

The Key Stage 1 moderators will lead 3 sessions; Reading, Writing and Mathematics. This will focus on validating the accuracy of teacher assessment judgements based on evidence produced during day to day teaching in Year 2.
All delegates need to bring a copy of:
• A collection of evidence for one child (This evidence needs to be photocopied 4 times)
