Code: SCH/19/13 Year 6 Peterborough English Challenge

The Peterborough challenge has been developed to generate a buzz of excitement around English for Year 6 pupils, as well as helping to inspire them, enthuse teachers and engage parents.

Schools are invited to enter a team of four Year 6 children who are able to work collaboratively during a heat that will consist of four rounds - three Team Rounds and a Memory Round. Teams will need to work together to find answers to a range of questions, utilising their knowledge and skills from across the English curriculum. The heats, which may have up to six teams competing against each other, are held after school, in venues across Peterborough.

The winners from each heat are automatically invited to the final, which is being held in the Town Hall Reception Room on Tuesday 21st January 2020. Other high scoring teams will also be invited to take part in the final and one team will ultimately become the English Challenge Champions in 2020.
